Method

Follow the pack timing. These tips improve the sear and the build.

  1. 01
    Get set

Take the patties out of the fridge 10 minutes before cooking and keep the sides ready. Check the pack for cooking instructions and use them as your guide.

  2. 02
    Mix the sauce

Stir together the curd, chutney, lemon and salt. Chill.

  3. 03
    Toast the buns

Butter the cut sides and toast in a hot pan for 1 minute.

  4. 04
    Sear the patties

Heat a heavy pan with the oil on medium-high. Cook the patties for 4 minutes per side without pressing, until browned and cooked through. Add cheese in the last minute.

  5. 05
    Rest

Rest the patties for 2 minutes.

  6. 06
    Build

Spread sauce on both buns, add lettuce, patty, tomato and onion. Serve at once.
